On our way home

MN crew that went to British Columbia
Helping out in Kamloops, British Columbia

Minnesota firefighters are headed home after assisting with fires in British Columbia.

The crew left on July 25 and were joined with Ontario firefighters in Dryden, and then flew to British Columbia to help out in the Kamloops area.

Due to dry and humid conditions, numerous fires and personnel shortages, Canadian partners requested assistance through the Great Lakes Forest Fire Compact (GLFCC).

The crew will arrive in Grand Rapids later today.
