History in the Making

This week, a mission and a sense of purpose aligned to make history. These men and women represent the first all Tribal/Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Type 2 Initial Attack crew ever to mobilize from the Midwest Region. The crew, which is on its way to Northern California, is represented by Tribal and BIA employees from White Earth, Leech Lake, Bois Forte, Mille Lacs and the Menominee Tribe of Wisconsin.
