With drought worsening, and weather conditions primed for an extended season, the 2021 wildfire season in Minnesota, provided an extraordinary opportunity for MNICS to exercise its three recently formed Type 3 Incident Management Teams. Overall, the 2021 season went incredibly well, especially considering the many moving parts. The following wildfires, and associated summaries, resulted in extended attack efforts that were managed by incident management teams.
